Knit fabric in-ground containers

|
The in-ground "grow bag" or "tree bag" has
evolved past the early dark fabric models of the early 80's as we have
continued to learn about roots and their reactions with certain fabrics. The
RootMaker®
knit fabric bag creates a compact, fibrous root system and a means for a simple,
quick harvest with it's precise openings. |

RootTrapper
®

|
Laminated fabric above-ground container which
not only conserves water but also stimulates root branching by root-tip
trapping and remains as much as 20-25 degrees cooler than traditional black plastic containers.
This tough but soft-sided container can be shipped as is.
Cut and remove when the tree needs to be shifted to a larger container or is being prepared at the landscape site.
The Root Trapper® will not scar the stems of other trees when stacked for
shipping and this "pot" won't fall off during handling. The
RootTrapper® is
also custom made to fit pot-in-pot production and comes in 3 models,
depending on your drainage/aeration requirements.

www.rootmaker.com for more information.
When exposed to sunlight, all black containers get hot. If a black
fabric container has a porous sidewall, some evaporative cooling occurs but
only at the expense of losing large quantities of water. Instead,
RootTrappers®, because they are white,
reflect heat while conserving water by slowing water exit and increasing
absorption by creating a fibrous root system. |
